Delivery Day

Lots of stuff was delivered to the house today. When I arrived in the early afternoon, the TW Perry truck was out front.
They had just dropped off all the trim for the doors, windows, and baseboards, which Justin was starting to move into the family room so it would be ready to cut to size on Monday.
Earlier in the day, all our tile from Architectural Ceramics had arrived, and was stacked up around the house. This is a pyramid of white subway tile for the bathrooms.
Although it wasn't particularly hot, it was extremely humid, so Rob sealed up the house and turned on the air conditioning for the first time. He said the house cooled down pretty quickly.
All the wood in the house tends to expand and contract with the humidity levels, so it's important to dry everything out before it's installed. This is particularly true of the hardwood flooring, which was also delivered this afternoon.
Rob and Justin helped carry it all into the house.
And stacked it up in the living room with the tile. They later spread it out into different rooms so it could dry properly. Both the tile and the flooring will be installed next week -- and Rob said John will be back next week to help him install all the trim as well.
Meanwhile, the stucco guys were back on the job.
They were finishing up the final coat on the south side of the house and working on the chimney.
Josh and I have lots of homework this weekend as well. We need to pick out our cabinet hardware, order our light fixtures, and work on paint colors. No rest for the weary....
